Kirby, a
great guy and a great hunter. He and his guide called
in this bull within 15 yards of their position. One shot
put this monster trophy on the ground. Another successful
mid October hunt and another 100% season. |

A record
book moose and another happy hunter. Clayton proudly shows
off his trophy on the skinning table. Way up in the books
this monster bull was held by my yearning cow call giving
another client a successful memory. Many more of these
trophy bulls roam our hunting areas. |

Each of the many years Jon has hunted moose in my camp he has tagged his bull and has taken trophies from small to huge. This bull scores 226 unofficial, and is his best of his seasons here. This addicted moose hunter plans to take another trophy bull home this fall. |

Ernie wanted a record book or nothing. After seven days
of passing up small moose, this giant came to my call.
A 400 yard shot gave him a trophy well up into the record
books. One of Alberta's largest bulls taken with just
under a 60 inch spread. |
Our moose hunting areas, WMU
525 and 526, in the famous Peace River country in northwestern
Alberta, Canada, is in prime moose habitat producing trophy
class antlers. During the past seasons we have taken several
bull moose in the high 50s to low 60s. Again, last season
we tagged all clients providing anther 100% on rifle moose
hunts.
Our moose hunts take place in logged blocks, natural salt
licks, lakes and cut-lines. We use pickups or quads to transport
you into prime moose hunting areas. All terrain vehicles/quads
are used only for transporting game back to our vehicles.
Hunting is done on foot.
Moose hunting
during the rut is extremely exciting as we often call the
bulls in close. Countless times I have called an unwary bull
moose within 50 yards of my hunter. My guides are masters
at this type of moose hunting.
The best of moose hunts are
always during the rut season then again during November when
the bulls are yarding up in groups of male in feeding areas.
November offers many of the larger bulls with snow for tracking
into the hot spots. This is one of the best hunts available
during the entire fall moose season.
Archery moose hunters should plan their hunt as early as possible
in the season to make best use of the natural springs and
natural salt licks. These areas are absolutely some of the
best hunting areas for archery moose in Alberta. Opening day,
August 25, is among the best archery hunting times for trophy
bull moose.
